Mother Fashion

Chapter 1--Easy Fashion Tips for Mothers

One avid reader asks: "What should a mother wear right after she gives birth?"

The Fashion Maven's response, like, without even thinking: "A bra, because it would look very motherly after you have given birth."

(Aaannnd we're off.)

Chapter 2--Harder Fashion Tips for Mothers

Q: Is it okay for papa's to dress like mothers?

FM:  "No, but sometimes if the man wants to look look like a woman, and he he has long hair,  he can put his hair in a bun or a pony tail and dress like a woman."  (This rules FM's humble secretary out.)

One mother who shall remain nameless (but she lives with the Fashion Maven), asks: "Sometimes I notice when I'm picking out my kid's clothes in the morning, I choose clothes that matches her's. Is it okay to match or should I not match?

FM: "Match! You should match, because then you would more look like a family member."

Follow-up question: What if my friends make fun of me for looking like my kid?

FM: "Then you just say, "Look on my kid's website and see that my mother is right."

Chapter 3

Q: Is it okay to wear the same, food-stained outfit every day?

FM: "No! It is not!!! Because if you do, they will think you only have that outfit, which means your outfit is not that pretty after a while. And it is not very imag-na-ni-tive."

Q: How do I get my kid to put away her clothes? (FM'S Mother: "This is a fashion question because they need their clothes to get dressed in the morning.")

FM: "Well I think your mom should ask politely."

Q: What if the mother is asking politely and it doesn't work?

FM: "If they have an allowance, tell them they won't get their money if they don't fold their laundry and put it away."

Chapter 4--A Peak Behind the Curtain

The Fashion Maven Hard at Work

Before

FM: "I was aiming for very smooth and thin and smooth because this is what's in fashion right now."

FM: "In this photo I was thinking I was doing a good job."

FM: "Here I was thinking that I didn't do as good a job as last time, but that I could hopefully make it better."

Q: Did you feel any sense of panic at this point?

FM: "No. not even for a second" said the supremely confident Fashion Maven.

... and After

FM: "I was thinking this was the best aversion of all the other pictures. It was like, it was the leader. And that's all I want to say."

FM: "This is the model of the last photo you are going to see. She looks cute, and I was positioning her for the picture.  The Mama model was saying: "Wow, this kid is the best Fashion Maven ever."
