The Fashion Maven's Biggest Challenge Yet

First,  a letter of gratitude to the FM from Lia, who--if you read the previous blog post--was in desperate need of fashion advice:

Dear Fashion Maven,

Thank you for your wonderful fashion tips. I've been wondering what to do about this dreadful cast. Pink stripes will definitely make me feel better and might even accelerate the healing process.

I love to garden and spring is right around the corner. I'll keep my eye out for some green pants.

I wish they made warm winter socks with bright colors & fancy designs. Where do you buy your socks?  

I think your decision to switch to a strawberry dress was very wise. Did you also wear tights that day?

I'll work on implementing your tips & send an update.

Dear Lia,

Yes, wear the red shoes almost every day, but sometimes wear different shoes. Why? Because you don't want the same people to see the same shoes over and over and over again. If they did, they would think you only had those shoes and they would come over and they will spy on you to see if you are wearing different shoes at your house.

Now onto the latest submission:

"What does the fashion maven have to say about this outfit?  Any comments welcome."

 Upon seeing this photo, the Fashion Maven's secretary had doubts as to whether even the FM could be of service to this poor, fashion-challenged woman. But read on. There is obviously no fashion question that the FM is not unprepared not to tackle (a quadruple negative!).

 The Fashion Maven's initial and unedited response to the above photo was: "Ah, yes, that's a good one. Awesome! It has red on it, and red is my favorite color. Also, I like the square necklace with the pretty silver on it. But please open your eyes so people don't think you're sitting up asleep."

 The FM's reaction reflects not only her good fashion sense, but also her flair. Another case solved.

Kitchen Fashion Tips

The stylish author and her fashion-impaired papa hard at work. 1) If you are drying dishes with someone, take turns. Because if you do not, they will want to do your turn, and you will want to do their turn.  2) Always make sure--if there is water in the bottom of a cup--you should dry that up. Because if you don't, when you drink the water, it will be a little bit hot. If you have some bowls that need to be dried, you should stack them when you dry them. 3) Same with plates. You should stack them and dry them. 4) Question: What are good colors for a kitchen?      Answer: Gold and yellow , because if you don't put gold and yellow in your kitchen, it won't look very kitchen-ee. 5) If you want to organize your refrigerator, you should, if you have eggs, you should put them where there is lots of room. Fashion Maven's "Layers of Blog"

There is layered cake ...   ... layered parfaits ... ... and layered salads. And lest we forget, there is also layered lasagna ... ... and the ever popular 7 Layer Bean dip But this blog is not about food. It's about clothes.  Lets Go! FM: "Sometimes you wear layers for fashion, and sometime you wear layers for warmth.  For example, a long sleeved shirt over a short-sleeved dress would be an example of fashion." But when we searched for the above online, we had little success.
